💙KEITH’S 10th Birthday💙Join us in celebrating Keith’s birthday on August 6th. This year we are dedicating our annual blanket drive to the CTICU and The Fetal Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Both of these units are dear to us and we want to support them in ALL they do for children and their families who have been hospitalized. We’re collecting blankets, lovies and donations to help the important needs of photography and equipment for The Fetal Center. We love celebrating Keith every August with our biggest blanket drive of the year! Our birthday blanket drives have helped us donate over 1️⃣6️⃣ THOUSAND blankets to children and their families while in the hospital.

We ❤️LOVE❤️ being able to celebrate Keith with the opportunity to make another child and family smile. All of the blankets we donate are for the families to keep and cherish. It’s the perfect, snuggly, pick-me-up for any little one (or teenage one) in the hospital.

🚜 Super fun update 🚜

We were blessed with a donation of funds from the Central Ohio Young Farmers. Being the granddaughter of a farmer, this filled my heart with joy. We committed some of the funds to purchasing a HUGE donation of farm, barns, and tractor related toys to Nationwide Children’s Hospital 🩵 I had so much fun finding all the cute tractors and I know these will be very special gifts to the hospital. Later in the year, during Keith’s birthday blanket drive, we’ll be sure to add some tractor and farm themed blankets to our donation dropoff.

We want to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to Steve and Nancy Patterson, who have dedicated so much to farming in Madison County and made this incredible donation possible.

Over 100 farm toys and books will be donated in celebration of the Central Ohio Young Farmers and Keith!

Took today as an opportunity to drop off 490 blankets, 157 lovies, and 100 onesies to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Today was a great day!

We have not been able to get into the hospitals as volunteers since March 2020, which meant we couldn’t stock our donation closet in the CTICU. We’ve been dropping off our donations at the front door and the hospital staff has been carrying the weight of delivering items and restocking our donation areas.

Last week we were told we could COME BACK IN! We dug out or volunteer badges and headed back!

💙We took in over 1,800 comfort items
🩵Aaron got to max out his minivan 🤣
💙We met new faces
🩵Visited with faces that cared for Keith
💙Saw the patient room in CTICU that we sponsor and has Keith’s name proudly displayed on a plaque
🩵We spruced up the donation closet
💙We restocked blankets, lovies, onesies, and parent clothing
🩵We left with a list of things to restock on our next trip back

…and we may have gotten some of our favorite mashed potatoes from the cafeteria (nostalgia!)😆🤣

Today was magical. It is a rare occasion when we get to walk into a building and people say “oh, you’re Keith’s mom and dad!” Being recognized as his parents is something that will always feel like a warm hug.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. Keith’s 8th birthday blanket drive was an incredible success. We 💙 you all!

Do you want to see what being overwhelmed with love looks like….it’s pictured below 💙

Together, we have collected over 800 items for Keith’s 8th Birthday drive.

…and things are still coming in!

Thanks to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, nurses, and complete strangers!!
We met a new supporter yesterday who dropped off OVER 100 blankets and comfort items
… and then asked how she could help more!

We had a group of friends who spent HOURS making blankets in the cutest patterns.

We’ve been able to collect blankets, lovies, children’s clothing, toothbrushes, parent clothing and so much more, thanks to all of you.

I wish I could tell you the impact these donations will make once they are walked into the room of a sick child trying to heal. They bring love, joy, smiles and normalcy into a stressful hospital room. We know, because we were there with Keith.

Thank you to everyone who has made this possible.
