Sending a big THANK YOU to everyone who attended or supported Pins for Purrs! It is always such a great event with so many familiar and new faces.

Funds raised at this event are critical to our work! They help us provide low-to-no cost spay and neuters to colony care takers, community members, and other rescues. Support allows us provide additional medical treatment and care for sick and injured cats. Finally it helps us get so many cats adoption ready through Pittsburgh CAT

Thank you again to all of our sponsors, everyone who attended, and shared this event!

Missed this event? Save the date for our annual holiday party at Archie's on the South Side on 12/11!

Join our friends at FosterCat Inc. for their Bingo Fundraiser on Sunday, October 25th!

Drum roll....🥁🥁🥁 Announcing the official beginning of ticket sales for the FosterCat Inc. Bingo Fundraiser set for Sunday, October 25th! Doors open at 1:00PM this year (to accommodate the Steeler fans watching the game in the UK).

This is such an important event for us as proceeds are entirely directed to the care and placement of our foster cats. Once they are in our care--no matter what the cost--we do what is needed to provide medical services and basic needs to give them another chance at the life they so deserve.
Be prepared to have a catastic😸 time! Back for the ninth year are our ever popular bingo games; door prizes; 50/50; strip tickets; bakery sale; and our basket auction complete with a huge array of basket auction items. Our witty, entertaining emcee, Dave Roman, is back to enhance your experience. We have held our ticket price this year to $50, including a delicious hot buffet luncheon including dessert and beverage.

Bingo attendees who bring any brand bag of cat food (Purina One is preferred) will be given 5 basket auction tickets ($5 value) and entered into a raffle for a $50 Giant Eagle gift card.

Space is limited, please purchase your tickets now!⌛

Sending a special thank you to Dr. Mendoza at the Animal Dental Clinic of Pittsburgh for providing the best care for Graham! Graham wondered onto the porch of a volunteer who could tell something was wrong with his jaw and mouth. Graham ended up having a fractured jaw that we addressed and then had extensive dental work at the Animal Dental Clinic of Pittsburgh. Now that Graham is healed, and cute as ever, he is off to a foster home with Pittsburgh CAT !

Vincent wants to know if you'll be joining us at Pins for Purrs on 10/4 with Pittsburgh CAT ?!

Pins for Purrs is one of our main fundraisers of the year and helps support cats at the HCMT clinic like Vincent! Vincent was brought in for TNR but had ear mites so bad that he really tore up his poor ear. We have been able to give Vincent a safe place to recoup while his ear heals. If he decides he likes it inside with people, when we have space available, we'll place him with a foster!

Bowling with us on 10/4 allows us to keep helping cats like Vincent and get others adoption ready!

Wonder how our cats and kittens go from rescue to adoption?

HCMT works with volunteers and community cat caretakers to spay/neuter cats in their areas. Sometimes cats like Fennec are too injured, ill, or just too friendly to re-join their colonies, or are rescued from bad situations.

With our sister organization, Pittsburgh CAT , we assess friendly felines for socialization and adoptability. If we have the space, after spay/neutering and administering age-appropriate vaccines we look for foster placement with our network of volunteers. Once the cats and kittens have recovered, grown some, and spent time socializing with humans, we work to find them homes!

Be sure to follow Pittsburgh CAT to see adoption ready cats like Fennec 🖤💛

Fennec is a happy, playful kitten who has come incredibly far from his beginnings in a hoarding house. Although he entered rescue severely emaciated with eye infections that almost completely obscured his vision, he’s now healthy and ready for a forever home!
