Join us for Lights On at the MLK Center on October 22nd from 3-6pm! This family-friendly Open House celebrates the Afterschool Alliance’s Lights On Afterschool initiative and the power of afterschool learning.

Built for the Hill District, powered by curious minds🧬✨

Juneteenth was a day we'll never forget. As we cut the ribbon on TCSL's new home, our first group of young scientists was already hard at work experimenting inside the lab. That's exactly what this space was built for: a place where the community can explore, experiment, and discover!

Our Saturday programs are back, bringing real experiments, real tools, and real discovery to scientists of all ages. No reading, no writing, just doing!

Young Scientists (ages 5-12) experiment Saturday mornings from 10-12, and Adult Scientists experiment Saturday evenings from 6-8, at our Hill District and South Hills locations.

Free after-school STEM programs? Yes, please! 🔬⚡🌱🤖

Welcome to The Citizen Science Lab! Here you'll work in an undergraduate-level laboratory, develop real lab skills, sharpen your critical thinking, and gain a deeper appreciation for scientific discovery.💡

Our STEM programs for middle and high school scientists begin next week! From building living bacteria-powered batteries to launching weather balloons into the sky, there's a program for every curious mind. Dinner's on us too, every session includes a free meal! 🍽️
