Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” - Mathews 9:37-38

In the Gospel reading, we hear how Jesus calls his disciples, ordinary men with no special qualifications, and sends them out to heal, preach, and cast out demons. Their mission flows not from their skills but from His authority and the Spirit’s gifts. We too are called as God's disciples to bring people to God. This reading reminds us that we don't have to be extraordinary people to do great works for God. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to come upon us and imbue us with grace to do God's will as His disciples, even in little ways throughout the day. 🕊️

"And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart." - Luke 2:19

Today, we honor the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please join us as we reflect on the interior life of Mary, who kept all her experiences, her joys and sorrows, close to her heart in prayerful contemplation with God. Let the way she lived in continuous prayer be an example for us to make every moment of our lives a quiet prayer to our God. 🩷

Please join us in praying:

O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
refuge of sinners,
I beg of you by the infinite merits of the Sacred
Heart of Jesus,
and by the graces God has granted to you since your
Immaculate Conception,
the grace of never going astray again.
Mother, keep me, a sinner,
constantly bathed in the light of your Immaculate
Heart.
Amen.

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. ❤️ We will also witness a historic occasion, as the United States bishops consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

St. John Paul II, a great devotee of the Sacred Heart, said, “This feast reminds us of the mystery of the love of God for the people of all times.”

Please join us in praying: 🙏

O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.

Tomorrow, June 12th, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, which also marks the annual World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests. 🙏

Let us take this opportunity to lift up our priests in prayer, asking the Lord to renew them and sustain them in their holy vocation.

Prayer for Priests

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with the love of your people. Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to spread joy in their ministry. Help them to become instruments of your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen

In today’s Gospel, Jesus declares: “My flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.” (John 6:55)

This Feast of Corpus Christi is the perfect time to reflect on how we speak about the Eucharist. In the Church, we refer to the Eucharist as the Body and Blood of Christ, the Real Presence, and the Most Blessed Sacrament. When we use these titles, we safeguard the profound truth that Christ is truly present, whole and entire. How we speak shapes how we believe; by honoring the Eucharist with the right words, we will believe more deeply and more truly adore the One who gives Himself to us—not bread, not wine, but Jesus.
