Join Jerrod's Fight

Join Jerrod's Fight Join us to support the Withrow family. Mt. Lebanon police officer Jerrod Withrow fearlessly fought colon cancer and is forever in our hearts. And thank you!

See the pinned post for donation instructions. About the Withrows: Jerrod was born in Washington State, and first got involved in law enforcement in 2000 as a member of the Idaho State Police. Jerrod met his current wife, Lisa, in 2002. When they married in 2005, they made the decision to move to the east coast, where Lisa is originally from. After stops in Upstate New York, Buffalo and Ithaca, Je

rrod was hired by the Pittsburgh Police Department in 2011, getting Jerrod and Lisa closer to her hometown of Scott Township. After a couple years with the City of Pittsburgh, Jerrod was hired as a patrol officer by the Mt Lebanon Police in 2014. Jerrod has been an active officer in the department, priding himself on his relationship with community members as well as the officers in the department. He has been a member of the SHACOG Critical Incident Response Team, and was recently recognized along with his team for their response to the Tree of Life Synagogue in October, 2018. Jerrod was born to be a public servant and has devoted over half his life to protecting and serving the community. He is the epitome of what a kind, caring, empathetic, resourceful and humorous police officer should be. Jerrod was diagnosed with colon cancer and stayed tough through the end earlier this summer. Along with Lisa, Jerrod has three beautiful boys: James, Brayden and Ben, who cheered for their dad along every step of the way. They are extremely grateful for all the support through this fight.

Thanks so much for making sure Jerrod's legacy lives on. More to come in the January issue of Mt. Lebanon Magazine.

Lisa Withrow shared this photo with us. This is who Jerrod always was and who he still is, watching over us all and taking care of us. In this case, he stopped at a kids' lemonade stand, something he ALWAYS did. We are all so lucky to have known him. Please do something nice for someone today to carry on his legacy.

When someone dies, we have our traditions, such as visitation, funerals and wakes, where family and friends gather around the bereaved to support and add comfort. But once those events are over and the out-of-town guests are gone, the loved ones must return to life without their beloved and with a new, massive hole in their lives. Won't you post some words of support for Jerrod's family, friends and co-workers who are going through rough times right now without him....
