The Vote Is Sacred 2026 is Interfaith Alliance's nationwide effort to protect our democracy and empower people of faith to get out the vote in the midterm elections. At the heart of The Vote Is Sacred is a cross-country bus tour, launching October 6 in Omaha and running through Election Day: a month on the road in the communities where the freedom to vote is under the most pressure, with public gatherings that platform local clergy and faith communities, election protection trainings, voter registration and canvassing anchored at the bus, and vigils standing against fear and intimidation at the ballot box.

In partnership with Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and former mayor Bill Peduto, we are hosting a breakfast and get-out-the-vote rally on October 12. Join us, because the vote is sacred, and democracy needs people of faith.

Community kickoff event for Count Me In Wilkinsburg + Civics Workshop

Too often, decisions about what happens in communities happen without the people who live in those communities.

This year and next, we’ll work with a collaborative of local partners to listen and learn from residents about their needs and how to do a better job of supporting their well-being.

Come meet your neighbors and learn how to get involved.

But, this is more than just a meet and greet. We will spend some time learning how to make change in our community.

We are so fortunate to have Alisa Grishman on our Board of Directors!

🚶𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: As of this morning, Pittsburgh has closed the loophole in the city code that made it difficult to enforce illegal parking on the sidewalk. This has always been illegal in the state of PA, but now our City has a way to correct this bad behavior.

BikePGH and accessibility justice partners will be working to advise the City on how to responsibly approach enforcement moving forward. This is merely the beginning of the conversation on how to implement sidewalk parking enforcement in an equitable way across the city.

Inclusion on a nonjuror list does not mean someone is registered to vote. Any resident of Pennsylvania—including a noncitizen—who pays taxes, drives a car, or interacts with the Commonwealth in a number of different ways, may be included on the initial county juror list.
