Many of you may have heard that our friend Dan Fordyce went home to be with Jesus last week. He was doing what he loved, flying. Dan started Warrior Bonfire as a way to help veterans with disabilities and PTSD. Every year for several years now, Warrior Bonfire would bring veterans to the ranch for pheasant hunting and hear about Jesus. They would take time to interact with one another sharing stories and memories. Dan respected these men and women so much. He always said “ pain shared is pain divided, Joy shared is joy multiplied.” At Dan’s memorial service the church was over flowing with family and friends. Why? Because the Lord worked through Dan to give hope and joy to hurting souls. As Dan would want, Warrior Bonfire will again bring veterans to the ranch during hunting season. We will have a special memorial time reflecting the Lord’s goodness through Dan.
Please keep Dan’s immediate family and the Warrior Bonfire family in your prayers. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on.

Thank you to all who came out to the ranch last weekend to honor the memory of Clay Ward and be a part of the dedication of his statue. We were blessed to have his wife, Sabine out, as well as several families on Saturday night, and as usual we watched God move in conversations over the weekend.
Although we forget sometimes, this was a good reminder of the value of each day and of each life. We are beyond grateful to our veterans for their sacrifice on behalf of our country, and appreciate your prayers as we work to serve them and help them experience healing through Christ.

Recent photos Piper sent from the ranch. Ken and I personally bought some Belted Galloway cattle, which we will use for rotational grazing and also breed to miniature Highland bulls. Another new adventure, thanks to Josh Adamson’s encouragement and Travis’s approval!

Lyle Bowes and Gene Murphy from South Dakota joined 5 veterans from Nebraska this weekend for pheasant hunting. Also pictured are Ed King ( designer and builder of the wheelchair platform) and our ranch manager Travis. We are so thankful for the sacrifices these veterans made and the work our team and volunteers have done so they could experience a topnotch experience at no cost to them. We believe each one was touched by the Lord in a special way.
