Moms Demand Action - AZ Arizona Moms Demand Action brings together survivors, parents, and community advocates to fight for a future free from gun violence.

This is a volunteer-led page. Moms Demand Action is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence. We pass stronger gun laws and work to close the loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families. We also work in our own communities and with business leaders to encourage a culture of responsible gun ownership. We know that gun violence is preventable, and we’re committed to doing what it takes to keep families safe. We were founded by Shannon Watts, a mother of five. The day after the Sandy Hook tragedy, Shannon started a Facebook group with the message that all Americans can and should do more to reduce gun violence. The online conversation turned into a movement of moms, dads, students, families, concerned citizens and survivors working together with our partners in the gun violence prevention movement to end this uniquely American crisis.

Two people were shot and killed outside of Venture-N, one of few LGBTQ+ bars in Tucson, Arizona over the weekend. They deserved to come home from a night out alive. Honor them by reading and sharing their stories. Give the shooter .

Cameron Davis Capara was a photographer who was dedicated to his craft, the loved ones in his life, and equality for all. A friend said he “always fought for and believed in a better future, for himself, for the community, and most importantly, for everybody.” He was 33 years old.

Vincent Anthony Siquieros was a regular at the bar for almost two decades. Community members remember him as “a thoughtful, considerate person.” A friend says Venture-N was Vincent’s favorite place. “For it to happen there is especially hard.” He was 42 years old.

Cameron and Vincent should still be here. Their loved ones and the Tucson LGBTQ+ community shouldn’t be forced to mourn them. We shouldn’t have to fear being shot because of who we love. In honor of the victims, survivors, and all those impacted by this horrific shooting, we work to .
