As we all anxiously await the result from yesterday's midterm elections...let's talk!

TONIGHT at 6:30pm, we'll be hosting a virtual meeting for our members to practice accepting appreciation and activist self-care. We invite you to join and decompress, find community, and refocus your mindset to move forward for the work we've got ahead of us for abortion access (https://asu.zoom.us/j/83414389295)

TOMORROW at 5:00pm, we will be patterning with .at.asu & to discuss the current state of abortion access in Arizona. Please join us in MU room 228 (Cochise) tomorrow evening!

We want to celebrate, recognize, and show our deep appreciation to the volunteers and organizers who tirelessly worked with to GOTV for this election🫶the work you put into canvassing and supporting the candidates who will champion abortion is the work that will save millions of Arizonans! Thank you for everything you do💗

To honor our recently graduated seniors, we’d love to share a few words about them and their time in PPGen…🎓

💗Our President, Isabel, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and minors in Transborder Chicano Studies and Public Policy! Isabel served PPGen in so many positions throughout the years, but also took her involvement to the next level by working consistently with PP Arizona. Her steadfast dedication to Planned Parenthood, the ASU community, and her peers shone through in everything she did. Isabel has grown into a fearless leader and we can’t wait to see what all she accomplishes in the future!

💗Our Vice President, Paige, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Women and Gender Studies and a certificate in LGBTQ+ studies! Paige has remained a committed leader of PPGen, always greeting members with smile and making sure everyone feels welcome. During her time at ASU, she organized for reproductive rights not just in PPGen, but also in Fight4Her as a founding member of the club. We admire Paige’s creativity (peep the zine and grad cap!), her passion, and unapologetic spirit; we are so excited to see her continued impact!

💗Our Treasurer, Jessica, graduated from Barrett, the Honors College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and minors in Russian and Sustainability! Jessica has been a devoted and knowledgable member of PPGen from the start. Her academic background combined with her experience in voter registration and canvassing, gave Jessica the knowledge to keep us up to date on important legislation, which was a huge asset for PPGen. Thankfully, we don’t have to say goodbye to Jessica just yet as she is returning later this year to finish her Master’s Degree!

Congratulations to our graduates, as well as the entirety of the Class of 2022! This won’t be the last you hear from us this summer, so please stay tuned for more organizing info to come🫶

Given the SCOTUS opinion leak yesterday indicating a reversal of Roe v. Wade in June, PPGen will continue to provide accurate and up to date information about abortions in Arizona. Access to safe, legal abortions is a human rights issue for ALL. There is no time left to waste as abortion, amongst other rights, are on the chopping block! If you are in need of specific resources or have questions, please do not hesitate to DM us🤍
