Mission of Mercy Arizona

Mission of Mercy Arizona Providing Free Healthcare for Arizona's uninsured & underinsured families. Learn more: www.missionofmercyaz.org

Mission of Mercy Arizona offers free primary medical care for anyone who is without health insurance or underinsured. We provide a wide range of services, from medical treatment to diagnostic and prescription services. Collaborative relationships with local hospitals and other specialty care providers enable our patients to receive additional no cost medical care, including lab tests and X-rays. O

ne of the most expensive aspects of modern medicine is the high cost of prescription medications. The free ongoing prescriptions* we provide our patients enable them to maintain their health and allow them to return to work, care for their family, or resume productive lives. Mission of Mercy’s on-board pharmacy contains 200+ types of generic prescription medications. Our patients receive their free medications on premises as part of their patient visit.

Today, on National Nonprofit Day, we’re celebrating the people who make Mission of Mercy possible. 💙

Our dedicated volunteers, staff, community partners, donors and supporters come together around one shared belief: everyone deserves compassionate healthcare delivered with dignity.

Because of you, uninsured and underinsured neighbors throughout Arizona receive free primary care, medications and the reassurance that they are seen, valued and cared for.

Thank you for standing beside us—and for helping us continue Healing Through Love.

💙 MOM Out & About 💙

It’s been another busy couple of weeks connecting across the Valley and sharing the Mission of Mercy Arizona story!

Kristi joined the West Valley Regional Chamber for several great events, including EPIC Networking at Babbo Italian Eatery, Connect at Noon at Haymaker, Coffee & Connections at Alice Cooper's Solid Rock Teen Center, and a packed Midday Mingle.

At Midday Mingle, attendees heard an exciting growth and development update from the City of Glendale and learned more about Hospice of the West from Sylvia Butler.

Kristi also headed east for the Local First Arizona Biz Brew Mixer at SanTan Brewing + Distilling in Chandler.

From Goodyear to Glendale to Chandler, we’re grateful for every opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with friends and share how Mission of Mercy is providing free healthcare and medications to our neighbors in need. 💙

Great connections build stronger communities—and stronger communities help us continue Healing through Love.

Education is empowerment—especially when it comes to managing diabetes.

These photos capture our multi-week Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) in action at Mission of Mercy clinics. Presented in partnership with Dignity Health, this interactive program gives people living with diabetes or prediabetes—and their caregivers—practical tools to manage their health with greater knowledge and confidence.

Participants learn how diabetes affects the body, how to better understand medications and blood glucose levels, read food labels, plan balanced meals and safely incorporate physical activity.

We are grateful to Dignity Health and our dedicated educators for helping Mission of Mercy patients build skills that can support healthier lives. This is what Healing Through Love looks like: meeting patients where they are and empowering them for the journey ahead. 💙🩵🩷

For the 56% of Mission of Mercy Arizona patients living with Type 2 diabetes, education is an essential part of their care.

Last week at our Chandler Clinic, MOM Educator Cecilia Chapman, RDN, CDCES, provided patients with personalized education, counseling, lifestyle coaching and fresh produce to take home. Her compassionate guidance helps patients better understand their diagnosis, make healthier everyday choices and take meaningful steps toward managing their diabetes.

It’s all part of helping our patients live happier, healthier lives—one visit, one conversation and one healthy choice at a time. 💙

Knowledge is a powerful part of managing diabetes—and our Avondale patients are gaining practical tools to support healthier lives.

Through the six-week Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP), offered in partnership with Dignity Health Foundation East Valley , participants learn how to manage diabetes, make healthier food choices and reduce their risk of complications.

We are grateful to Dignity Health for helping bring this evidence-based education directly to our patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health.

👁️ July is Healthy Vision Month! Good vision is about so much more than seeing clearly — it can be an important window into your overall health. During a comprehensive eye exam, optometrists can often detect early signs of chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and other serious health concerns.

At Mission of Mercy Arizona, we're committed to making that care more accessible. Thanks to the dedication of volunteer optometrist Dr. Jonathan Wold of San Tan Eye Care and other volunteer eye care providers at our Mesa clinic, we've been helping patients receive the vision care they need for the past two years.

Now, thanks to a generous grant from BHHS Legacy Foundation earlier this year, we're expanding vision services at select clinics and bringing essential care to even more uninsured Arizonans. Healthy vision is healthy living. 💙

Thank you to Sonora Quest Laboratories CEO Jennifer Erickson and Senior Director—and Mission of Mercy Arizona Board President—Alichia Chacon for spending time with our Executive Director, Paula Carvalho, and touring our clinic.

We are deeply grateful for Sonora Quest’s extraordinary partnership, which helps make our mission possible. Their generous support ensures our patients receive critical lab work at no cost—an essential part of providing compassionate, comprehensive care.

Thank you, Sonora Quest, for your continued leadership and commitment to building a healthier Arizona alongside us. We simply could not do this work without you. 💙

This week, our CEO Jennifer Erickson and Alichia Chacon, Executive Director of Lab Operations and dedicated Mission of Mercy board member, connected with the incredible Mission of Mercy Arizona Team. 💙

We're proud to champion Mission of Mercy’s mission to deliver free healthcare to Arizonans who need it most — demonstrating the powerful impact we create together. Partnerships like these drive lasting change and inspire us to keep building a healthier Arizona. 🤝
