Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation AFFCF granted our first award back in 1984. We paid $29.61 for an 8 year-old boy in Prescott to take flute lessons.

Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation creates opportunities to build self-esteem and empower children and youth in foster care by funding services to enrich their lives and lead to a successful transition to adulthood. Take a look at the gorgeous photos from AFFCF’s 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at The Club at Prescott Lakes! 🏞️ We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to our incredibly generous sponsors and golfers, AFFCF raised $47,000 in net proceeds 🎉 to support children and young adults in foster care. 💙🧸

From a beautiful day on the green and fun games to a meaningful luncheon where two of our AFFCF youth, siblings Brooke and Ryan, shared their powerful stories, it was a day filled with connection, celebration, and plenty of reminders of why this work matters. 🧡

💚 This September is National Kinship Care Month, we’re celebrating the family members who step up with love, strength and unwavering commitment. 💪

In Arizona, nearly 50% of children and youth in foster care are placed with relatives or kin. 🌵 These caregivers open their homes and their hearts, often with limited financial support. 🏡 On average, kinship caregivers receive just $10 a day to help care for the children and youth in their homes.

At AFFCF, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to simply be a kid. 🙌 Through our Childhood Activities program, we provide supplemental support for enriching experiences like ⛺ camp, 🎷 music lessons, ⚽ sports and more, helping children in kinship care experience joy, connection and belonging.
