AMC was proud to be represented at the Concrete Masonry Architecture of the Americas Symposium, hosted by RAC 4 - Concrete Masonry CheckOff and the Texas Masonry Council at the The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture.

The two-day Masonry Summit brought together nearly 100 architects, designers, engineers, masonry professionals, and industry leaders from across the RAC 4 region for technical insight, project inspiration, and meaningful conversation around the future of concrete masonry.

Topics included energy performance, thermal mass, embodied carbon, resilient design, and innovative architectural applications. The event also featured remarks from the Dean of the School of Architecture, a full-room architectural panel discussion, and presentations from respected design voices, including Arizona architect Wendell Burnette.

AMC Executive Director Dawn Rogers attended as part of RAC 4, continuing to help strengthen the connection between Arizona’s masonry industry and the broader design community.

Events like this are a reminder of the value of bringing designers, builders, and industry advocates together to discuss where masonry is headed next.

Another Contractor Certification module is complete!

AMC recently wrapped up Module 5: Mastering Masonry Details, continuing the series focused on strengthening knowledge, best practices, and technical understanding across Arizona’s masonry industry.

Thank you to Kitchell Contractors for hosting us and to LAST Architects for sharing their masonry detail knowledge with the group.

This module focused on the details that make a difference in the field, helping contractors build with greater confidence, coordination, and quality.

Thank you to everyone who participated and continues to invest in professional development and stronger masonry construction.

AMC had a great week in San Antonio for the Contractors Association of America - MCAA Midyear Meeting.

Dawn Rogers and Ryan Gray represented Arizona alongside masonry leaders from across the country for a week of meetings, industry updates, workforce conversations, networking, and connection.

From the opening reception to national masonry discussions, the week was full of valuable insight, strong turnout, and a little Texas-style fun along the way.

AMC is grateful to be part of these conversations and looks forward to bringing fresh ideas, resources, and momentum back to Arizona.

MCAA Midyear is officially underway in San Antonio, and AMC is already off to a great start.

Dawn Rogers and Ryan Gray are representing Arizona this week, connecting with masonry industry leaders from across the country and taking part in conversations around workforce, education, industry growth, and the future of masonry.

The opening reception was a great turnout — complete with Texas hospitality, plenty of networking, and yes, Dawn holding an armadillo.

We are looking forward to a productive week of meetings, connection, and bringing new ideas back to Arizona.

This Labor Day, we recognize the people behind the work.

Masonry is built by skilled hands, steady commitment, and generations of craftsmanship. Today, we thank the masons, apprentices, contractors, suppliers, educators, and industry partners who help shape strong, lasting communities across Arizona.

Time flies when you’re having fun — and when you’re surrounded by great people in the masonry industry.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday for AMC’s Annual Member Meeting. We are grateful for the members, partners, and industry friends who continue to show up, stay engaged, and support the work being done to strengthen Arizona’s masonry community.

It was a great opportunity to connect, reflect on what’s ahead, and spend time with the people who help move this industry forward.

Creativity, community, and a whole lot of cans. The A/E/C community came together over the weekend for CANstruction Phoenix, building incredible sculptures made entirely from canned goods in support of St. Mary's Food Bank.

The structures are now on display for the next two weeks at Arrowhead Towne Center on the first level.

Special shoutout to AMC’s own Dawn Rogers, Chair of the CANstruction event with AIA Arizona (Phoenix Chapter), for helping lead this meaningful industry event.

AMC Executive Director Dawn Rogers spent last week in Grand Rapids, Michigan, attending the CMHA Midyear Meeting.

The week included industry meetings, great conversations, national masonry connections, and a little friendly competition on the golf course — Shout to Dawn and her team came - They took third place in the tournament!

Meetings were attended, golf was completed, fun was had, and AMC was proud to be part of the conversation.
