Founded by foster mom of 10 and adoptive mom of four, Darcy Olsen, The Center fights to protect the rights of abused and vulnerable children through advocacy, pro bono legal representation, and policy reform.

Our work has helped more than one million children nationwide but there are still too many children navigating the system without someone fighting for them.

We’re working to change that.

"Hearing" your kids vs. truly LISTENING to them. 👂✨
Kids rarely come home in a bad mood for "no reason." Whether it's a conflict with a peer, a tough day at school, or something much deeper, children often express their struggles through mood and behavioral changes.

In the hustle of everyday life, it’s easy to hear them without actually listening. Taking a moment to slow down, ask questions, and be present creates the safe space children need to open up.

Ohio’s news is a reminder of how cruel people can be to their own children. For these 16 children, healing will be lifelong. Authorities say they were invisible. They were not. People will come forward saying they suspected something was off but never made the call. Always make the call.

First Lady Opens Trump Accounts to America's Children in Foster Care

Finally, America's foster children are not invisible. Thanks to the First Lady, child welfare agencies can now open Trump Accounts so kids in care can save for the future, too. 💛

Starting at birth, just $50 a month grows to roughly $20,000 by age 18 — and accounts officially open July 4. 23 governors have already pledged to support accounts for their foster youth.

Churches, companies and foundations also can contribute to every foster child's account in their community, tax-free — so who will step up for the foster kids in YOUR town?
