The Department of Neurology at recently published a study that associated living near a dry cleaner with an increased risk of developing .

We were proud to see this study shared by several national media outlets, including People, Newsweek, Medscape, and U.S. News and World Report.

“This study adds to growing evidence that environmental exposures may play an important role in Parkinson’s disease,” said Brad Racette, MD, Chair of at Barrow and senior author of the study. “Identifying those exposures is an important step toward understanding how we might reduce the burden of this disease in the future.”
