Today is National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day, a time to recognize the growing number of people aging with HIV and the importance of connection, support, and access to care at every stage of life.

At Aunt Rita’s Foundation, our Experience Escapades program creates opportunities for older adults living with HIV to connect, build community, and enjoy meaningful experiences together.

Aging with HIV comes with unique challenges, but no one should have to navigate them alone. Today, we celebrate long-term survivors, honor their stories, and recommit to making sure they continue to feel seen, supported, and connected.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, service members and everyday people who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

At Aunt Rita’s Foundation, we believe in the power of community, compassion and showing up for one another, values that feel especially meaningful on this day of remembrance.

May we honor those we lost by continuing to build communities rooted in kindness, connection, and care for one another.
