Watch for these warning signs; if you notice someone is struggling get help!

Grateful for all nurses, all year long, but especially during National Nurses Appreciation Month! As May comes to a close, so does this month-long observance dedicated to honoring nurses, their contributions, and the profession.
They share their gift of compassion and kindness~ give a little of that back to them with your show of gratitude!

We're always immensely grateful for our various community partners who make scary situations for our single mom families so much easier to navigate.

Auto repair is one of the most widely used services we offer to our moms ~ thanks to our ability to pay for the cost of parts, and most of all, thanks to the amazing auto repair shops, Valley-wide, who donate the labor to fix them.
We love your heart for helping others.... and our scholarship recipients say, "We love you more!"

23 single moms, 23 degrees, 23 family's futures changed.

This spring, 23 more of our dedicated single mom college students crossed the graduation stage, adding to the 500 women we've helped graduate over the years! 🎓
With resilience and hard work, they not only earned their degrees, they’ve created new futures for themselves & their children, impacting generations to come.

Join us in applauding these women as they each receive their a new title:

"As a first gen graduate I am breaking so many cycles of sickness, addictions, and failures in my family!"

We're proud to share a sweet story of a current grad and new nurse, who is on her way to a lifelong career helping others.
When finals ended, this mom received an email to come pick up her honor cords - and wondered if it might be a joke... until she got to the student union to check.
It was no joke - she was, indeed, given her honor cords (red, "with distinction") and is officially a member of the Alpha Delta Nu Honor's Society of Nurses!

As she graduates with concurrent AA & BSN degrees in Nursing, she reflects on the journey, and recognizes all the sacrifice and hard work toward her education.
"I started back to school in 2021 with a 2.25 GPA. Today I'm picking up honors cords from GCC - red with distinction. Wow."

Sometimes a little helping hands goes a long way ... even a lifetime.
