Schedule an appointment at frescasnap.com, then review the website or these slides for what to expect and which documents to bring. An Community Health Worker will sit down with you to help submit your application and explain the next steps.

In July, these beds were bare. Now they're mulched, shaded, irrigated, and ready to grow. 🌱

Our staff spent the summer rejuvenating the LEHR garden. Now we need volunteers to help plant what comes next.

We planted seeds for the fall, established a monarch butterfly way station (shoutout Office of Environmental Programs for the inspo!) and of course…hung out with the little superstars on their big day. What a blast!

🎉 Look back at an exciting moment from earlier this month! A poster from CCF's own Jeff Boles and Patsy Kraeger, "The Healthy Resilient Empowerment Bond," was one of just 16 selected for the Social Outcomes Conference 2026 Poster Gallery at Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government.
Jeff and Patsy's project explores a new way to fund things communities need most — like food security, cooling for hot summers, job training, and neighborhood improvements — through an innovative financing approach called a "HuCAP bond."
The photo shows Anna Ulshöfer and Jonathan Davies from Oxford's Government Outcomes Lab holding up the poster with Jeff, all the way over in the UK! It was pretty amazing to see their work get recognition on a global stage.

🎉 ¡Recordando un momento emocionante de principios de este mes! Un póster de Jeff Boles y Patsy Kraeger, de CCF, titulado "The Healthy Resilient Empowerment Bond" (El Bono de Empoderamiento Resiliente y Saludable), fue uno de solo 16 seleccionados para la Galería de Pósteres de la Conferencia de Resultados Sociales 2026 (SOC26) en la Blavatnik School of Government de la Universidad de Oxford.

📢 Lost your SNAP benefits? Phoenix has help.

If your household has had a complete loss of SNAP (food stamp) benefits on or after October 1, 2025 and hasn't been reinstated, you may qualify for Targeted One-Time Crisis Assistance from the City of Phoenix.

Eligible households can receive up to $700, including:
💡 $600 toward a utility account
🚌 $100 in transportation assistance (gas card or bus/light rail pass)

Who qualifies:
✅ Live in Phoenix or receive City of Phoenix water services
✅ Had a complete loss of SNAP benefits on/after 10/1/25, not reinstated
✅ Haven't received this assistance since July 1, 2026

Funds are limited and given first-come, first-served — apply as soon as you can. This is a one-time benefit per household through June 30, 2027.

💜 Huge thanks to our 9/12 Feeding Phoenix partners!

Feeding Phoenix distributions run on community support — and this week we got a great reminder of that. A big thank you to Area Agency on Aging, Region One (AAA; https://www.aaaphx.org/) for coming out to support our food distribution and connect families with even more resources. Your presence made a real difference for the folks we served that day.

And a very special thank you to Tiff's Treats for donating 6 dozen cookies to keep our volunteer crew fueled and smiling! Feeding families is hard, hot, rewarding work — and having a sweet treat waiting mid-shift meant more than you know. (As you can see, our volunteers were... very enthusiastic taste-testers. 🍪)

No kid should go hungry — and no volunteer should go hungry either. Thank you both for showing up for our community!
