๐ Grant Friday โ Juneteenth & the Mission of Equity in Heart Health
"Grants are not just funding โ they are an investment in a future where no family has to lose a child to an undetected heart condition."
Today is Juneteenth โ a day that celebrates freedom, resilience, and the long arc of justice. ๐
At the Anthony Bates Foundation, we recognize that health equity is inseparable from the broader pursuit of justice. Black youth are disproportionately affected by sudden cardiac arrest. Underserved communities face the greatest barriers to screening access. And grant funding is one of the most powerful tools we have to close that gap.
Grant funding allows ABF to:
๐ Expand youth screening programs to underserved communities
๐ Train more first responders and community volunteers
๐ซ Develop educational curriculum for schools and families
๐ฃ Build the infrastructure to serve even more families
On this Juneteenth, ABF reaffirms its commitment to health equity โ because freedom includes the freedom to live a long, healthy life.
