Real change in how feeding is understood, how it gets recognized, treated, funded, and talked about at kitchen tables, does not start with a policy. It starts with people hearing an unfamiliar idea, sitting with it a while, and then turning it over together. October 8 is where the hearing happens. Everything after that is the conversation we build on it.

Feeding care has never had agreed upon ethical standards. You can help write them.

Feeding Matters and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have launched the Center for Feeding Ethics: a national initiative to define how feeding disorder treatment should be delivered.
Before we set any guidelines, we’re hosting focus groups. We’re recruiting:

- Parents and guardians of a child who has received treatment for pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) or avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)

- Adults 18+ who have been diagnosed and/or treated for a feeding or eating disorder

- Healthcare professionals across settings and disciplines: inpatient and outpatient, hospital-based and private practice, early intervention, schools, home health, and primary

What to Expect: one 90-minute virtual conversation about your experience with treatment. Caregivers and adults with lived experience are grouped together; clinicians meet separately.
