Nine young leaders from South Mountain WORKS Coalition just did something powerful. 💪
They participated in SMWORKS Youth Day at the Capitol — a direct civic engagement experience connecting students to Arizona's state legislature. They met with representatives, observed government firsthand, and reflected on what it all means for prevention, advocacy, and community power.
And after just ONE day? 88% said they feel more confident sharing their voice with elected officials. 📊

The event offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications. If you are in South Phoenix, properly dispose of your unneeded Rx drugs this Saturday, April 25th, 10am-2pm at 2420 E Baseline Rd in the Walgreens parking lot.

Big moment for our community: we completed our first SMWORKS Harm Reduction Academy.

More than 13 people joined us across 3 sessions and 5 modules, and today 5 folx completed the full academy and received certification.

They now have tools to bring harm reduction education and care back into the community to help save lives.
