South Mountain WORKS Coalition is looking for a part-time Outreach Specialist to join our team and support community-based overdose prevention, harm reduction, outreach, and resource navigation across South Mountain + South Phoenix.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to move in community, build real relationships, meet people where they are, and lead with dignity, respect, and care.

Position Details

✨ Part-Time | 25 hours/week
✨ $30,000 annually
✨ Paid time off + paid holidays
✨ Mileage reimbursement
✨ Anticipated start date: September 1, 2026

Nine young leaders from South Mountain WORKS Coalition just did something powerful. 💪
They participated in SMWORKS Youth Day at the Capitol — a direct civic engagement experience connecting students to Arizona's state legislature. They met with representatives, observed government firsthand, and reflected on what it all means for prevention, advocacy, and community power.
And after just ONE day? 88% said they feel more confident sharing their voice with elected officials. 📊
Imagine what a year of this could build. We're just getting started.

The event offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications. If you are in South Phoenix, properly dispose of your unneeded Rx drugs this Saturday, April 25th, 10am-2pm at 2420 E Baseline Rd in the Walgreens parking lot.
