What does a 70th birthday look like when you stop and truly consider all that God has given you?

In her October update, Martha reflects on the blessings, struggles, opportunities, failures, forgiveness, and grace that have shaped her life. Her words are humbling and deeply hopeful as she asks, “What do I have that has not been given to me by God?”

And there’s much more in this month’s update—but Martha’s birthday reflection may be the part that stays with you longest: a reminder that our hope is not found in a life without difficulty, but in the God who has been faithful through it all.

The Kopfs’ September update is filled with both joy and heartache.

During their time back in the USA, Jonathan and Susan have been blessed with precious moments with family—including seeing their first granddaughter, Moshaya, and watching Mikenna begin Bible school. What beautiful gifts from the Lord!

At the same time, difficult news has come from their Hewa friends in Papua New Guinea. A severe drought has dried up the village gardens and water supply, forcing the Hewa school to temporarily close. And the baby son of one of the Hewa pastors suffered severe burns and is now receiving painful skin grafts.

There is so much to celebrate—and so much to pray for. Please take a few minutes to read the Kopfs’ latest update and join in praying for rain, healing, and encouragement for the Hewa people.

Thank God! He sent us 11 new students, giving us a total of 34 full-time students this semester, plus enough part timers to make around 50 students! The numbers are still out as we wait for online and other part-time students to settle on what they will be doing. Our housing is packed but two

Some updates are more than updates—they’re little treasures. ❤️

At 97 years old, 70 years of marriage, and 5 decades on the mission field, Corinne Palmer wanted to write a “little song of thanks” to the people who have cared for her through the last few years. After a fall and broken hip, months of rehab, moving from place to place, and increasing confusion from dementia, Corinne has seen God’s faithfulness through the love and care of family and friends.

Her simple words of gratitude, woven into a song, are a beautiful reminder that God often shows His love through His people.

As the Palmers celebrate Corinne’s birthday, they share this tender story to thank those who have loved, helped, and prayed for them—and, ultimately, to give all the glory to God.
