Community Associations Institute Arizona Chapter CAI AZ is the leading professional organization devoted to education and putting unity into the community.

The Arizona Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI AZ) serves the educational, business, and networking needs of community associations in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area as well as the many thriving communities throughout central and northern Arizona. Members include condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations as well as those who provide services and products to associations. The Arizona Chapter, a nonprofit 501(c)(6) association incorporated in 1980, has approximately 700 members including over 150 businesses, and more than 250 associations. The chapter is one of 59 Community Associations Institute chapters nationwide. The Institute is dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations that promote harmony, community and responsible leadership.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, those who answered the call, and the families and communities forever changed.

In the face of unimaginable loss, communities became a source of strength as neighbors cared for neighbors and strangers stepped forward to help.

September 11 reminds us that community is more than where we live. It is how we show up for one another, especially in the hardest moments.

Today, we honor their memory. We will never forget.

This week, our very own Tracy Schiefferle joined other Chapter Executive Directors from around the country at the CAI 2026 CED retreat in Washington, D.C. The retreat offered collaborative learning sessions, the opportunity to network with other chapter leaders, and a bonus outing to last night's Washington Nationals game!
