The algae “killing” equipment has been on Luna Lake for a week now, and so far so good.
( Sonicpur. Pulsar 4400) After 3 days there was noticeable difference in the clarity of the water. All 4 aerators are running add DO to the water. The aeration project was started by White Mountain Lake Foundation over 10 yrs ago. The aerators have been on Luna for 6 years now. The WMLF and Friends of Luna Lake are working with AZGFD to improve fishing in the White Mountains. These are tough times for our lakes, no snow melt runoff and higher than average temperatures is causing water quality issues.

Today AZGFD installed the new algae killing equipment. It emits ultrasonic waves that interfers with the cellular structure of the algae

Fished or tried to fish the Greer Lakes on Wednesday. I could have used a sail. Tried Tunnel. The water is up to the bush on the ramp. Still down 4-5 ‘ I am guessing. Bunch is close to full and River is down a good ways, but you can launch a boat. The irrigation company was there measuring so they can begin releasing water from Bunch first, according to the tech. Partner had 1 strike.

Stopped by Becker Lake this morning. Dead calm, angler getting in his fishcat. The lake water is a good 20 from the bottom of the cement ramp.
