Another day, another adventure!

FBC students spent time on the water at Tempe Town Lake, kayaking and taking in everything a day outside in the spring weather has to offer.

A big congratulations to our amazing preschool students who graduated last week!

We are so proud of everything they accomplished this year, and are so excited to witness their growth moving forward.

Here's to a great summer!

The remaining 5 slides in the carousel are graduation photos featuring FBC preschoolers, smiling and being celebrated by their families and staff. Photos are taken inside the FBC gym, where graduation took place.

Teaching confidence and empowering our students to learn at their own pace is our priority here at FBC.

When students know and understand that the best thing they can do is be themselves, that's where real growth happens.

FBC students are in the room - learning, working, showing up, and experiencing life fully and in their own way!

Our students travel, play sports and games, immerse themselves in art and culture, and so much more.

There are no limits for what rooms they can be in.

Initially, a student stands alone, with text on screen that says "I always feel nervous because I’m the only person with a visual impairment in the room”.

Next a series of photos appear showing FBC students traveling, playing sports, and taking part in everyday activities alongside their peers, with text on screen that says "I'm in the room and I'm not alone!"

We really just want the best for each and every student here at FBC!

If you're looking for a place where your child, your teen, or you as an adult can grow and find community, you've come to the right place.

A very common, but untrue misconception about folks who are blind: they can't have fun, or don't know how to.

People who are visually impaired or blind have the same desire for fun and leisure as anyone else, simply experiencing the world in a different way.

Take it from our students, who love to have fun!

We're FBC, and we are here to build a brighter future for all!

Our mission is to empower every individual, from infants in our Early Childhood Program to young students and adults, providing tools, support, and encouragement every step of the way.

Together, let’s aim high, and create the path forward because at FBC, nothing is impossible!

Accessibility is life-changing.

This is a OneCourt device that helps sports fans who are blind or visually impaired enjoy the game. It acts as a "tactile screen" that allows people to feel player movement and ball position with their fingertips.

Nobody loses when assistive technology is accessible!

The community took the court for a game of Goalball at the inaugural Kitchell Goalball tournament last week.

One thing made this tournament different, though - everyone played blindfolded!

Together, we welcomed 10 teams and raised over $14,000 to support FBC's mission!

Shoutout to everyone who came out and participated, and to Arizona Corporate Builders, LLC for taking the winning title.

We asked some FBC program participants, "What do you wish people knew about your vision loss?", and here's what they had to say.

Every experience is different, and every perspective matters!

Image 2 (Taylor Smith) Graphic featuring a circular photo of Taylor Smith, a woman wearing sunglasses and headphones, seated outdoors. Text shares her perspective on vision loss being individualized and fluctuating, and encourages grace and understanding.

Image 3 (Max Ashton) Graphic featuring a circular photo of Max Ashton, a smiling man standing in front of a climbing wall and holding a white cane. Text includes his quote: "I wish people understood that we are more than our vision loss. It's just one aspect of who we are, but it's far from everything."

Image 4 (West Lee) Graphic featuring a circular photo of West Lee, a man wearing a blue checkered shirt and a lanyard. Text includes his quote about vision loss not equaling a sedentary life, and the importance of staying active for spatial awareness, orientation and mobility, and building self-confidence.
