Horses Help is excited to welcome Megan Jefferies as our new Executive Director!

Megan brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, along with a long-standing connection to Horses Help as a former fundraiser and board member. Her passion for building strong systems, meaningful donor relationships, and community-centered programs will help guide Horses Help into its next chapter.

Megan is honored to work alongside our incredible staff, board, volunteers, families, participants, donors, and — of course — our horses.

Today, we’re thinking about the people who make participation possible.

The ones who help with helmets and schedules. The ones who wait just outside the arena, celebrate small wins, and keep showing up on the hard days too.

For some of our participants, that person is Mom. For others, it may be a grandparent, guardian, dad, sibling, friend, caregiver, volunteer, or advocate.

This Mother’s Day, we’re grateful for every person who helps create the steady support our participants need to grow in confidence, connection, and possibility.

To the moms in the Horses Help community, and to all who nurture, guide, protect, and believe — thank you.

Huge thank you to the students from for coming out and putting in the work last Friday!

From clearing dead tree branches, to cleaning out and leveling the cross tie bays, to removing rocks from the arena… their help made a real difference in keeping both our horses and riders safe.
