Please join us in celebrating Philadelphia Kappa League’s students who are on their way to college!

Gift of Life was proud to host these students and their families for college signing day as they commemorated all their hard work and committed to the schools of their choice. Senator Vincent Hughes joined as keystone speaker for the day, sharing his connection as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and his decision to be a registered organ donor.

Our “Legacy of Heroes, A Future of Hope” grants support nonprofit organizations and houses of worship in our region committed to developing and implementing educational programs to increase organ donor education and registration.

We’ve been busy!

Thank you to RAH Civic Association, Ambassadors 4 Christ and Senator Sharif Street for being incredible partners in our mission to save more lives through organ and tissue donation. Through hosting events and collaborating with us, these groups help to advocate for organ and tissue donation, support those waiting for a second chance at life, and register more organ donors. Together, we can provide hope to all of those waiting.

The Transplant Games is setting Guinness World Records this year!

Team Philadelphia legends Dave and Liz Kennedy are back at the Transplant Games of America for their 10th Games!

The Kennedys first went to the Games in 2004 and immediately found a community united by a shared connection to donation and transplantation among transplant recipients, living donors and donor families.

"The connection is instant," Liz shared at Gift of Life’s June staff meeting. "People understand what you've been through. They know how you feel."

Their son David became a donor hero when he died in 1992, helping heal more than 45 lives through gifts of tissue. Liz’s nephew Jonathan and Dave’s brother Greg passed away in 2015 and 2019, respectively, and, inspired by David’s donation, gave the gift of tissue donation.

This week, Dave and Liz are once again cheering for Team Philly in honor of their loved ones, with Dave returning to coach the kids' basketball teams.

Thank you, Dave and Liz, for sharing your family's story and inspiring others through your dedication to Team Philly. Follow Gift of Life's social media channels throughout the Games, running through June 23!
