Old City Jewish Arts Center

Old City Jewish Arts Center Using the arts as a springboard, the JAC advances and promotes the universal messages of Judaism. The center hosts a Art exhibition which changes each month.

Founded in 2006, the OCJAC was envisioned as a platform to build community through the arts. Building steadily since then, the OCJAC gallery has become an exhibition space for serious artists, holds monthly "First Friday" art receptions with a Jewish twist and provides social and Jewish holiday programs throughout the year. OCJAC is now a landmark gallery in the Philadelphia art scene, and is the only gallery dedicated to Jewish artistic expression and cultural exchange in Philadelphia. Using the arts as a springboard, the Old City Jewish Art Center advances and promotes the universal messages of Judaism & spiritually to the broadest possible audience. In addition, we feature a variety of other activities, including:

•First Friday Receptions & Shabbos Dinners.
•Classes and Workshops
•Musical Programs and Concerts

🇺🇸 If you’re spending the holiday weekend in the city, join us for a special July 3rd Shabbat Dinner with us.
With a major heat wave, it’s the perfect excuse to cool off with air conditioning, refreshing homemade meal and an uplifting Shabbat atmosphere in our Art Gallery.
🇺🇸 As America celebrates its 250th Birthday, we’ll also share fascinating stories about Jewish contributions to America’s founding—including Haym Salomon’s role in supporting the Revolutionary cause and the Founding Fathers’ appreciation for the Hebrew Bible’s vision of liberty and justice.
Come celebrate faith, freedom, friendship, and First Friday Shabbat as we kick off the holiday weekend together.
👉 REGISTRATION Is preferred in order for preparation of the meal but last minute walk up is fine.
