Bangladeshi Freelancer Loses Home to Fire

Imagine working tirelessly to support your family, only to have everything you own vanish in a single night. This is the tragic reality for our friend and colleague, Shafiqul Islam, a Bangladeshi freelancer whose family home was recently destroyed in a devastating fire.

Shafiqul hails from a modest, middle-class family in Bangladesh. For the past seven months, he has been a dedicated and invaluable member of our team, managing our domain and hosting business remotely. His hard work and talent have been instrumental in our success.

Now, his family faces a desperate struggle. The fire has left them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They've lost their home, their belongings, and their sense of security.

With your generosity, we can ease the burden on Shafiqul and his family during this unimaginably difficult time. Our goal is to raise $30K to help them with:

Secure temporary housing, food, clothing, and essential supplies.

Cover construction costs and replace lost possessions.

Allow Shafiqul to focus on his family without financial worry while they rebuild their lives.

No donation is too small. Every dollar brings us closer to restoring hope and stability for this hardworking family. Your kindness will have a ripple effect, not only helping them directly but also allowing Shafiqul to continue his valuable work with us.

Please give what you can. Every amount makes a difference. Spread the word on social media, with friends, and your network. The wider we cast our net, the greater the impact we can have.

Let's show Shafiqul and his family that they are not alone. Your compassion can change their world.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Epidermolysis bullosa is very common and only affects approximately one in 50,000 people! The condition increases the risk of skin cancer. And sufferers' life expectancy is just 30 years.
The Little Girl has paper skin! Hayden suffers from epidermolysis bullosa, which makes his skin very Fragile. As the rubbing of his clothes easily wound her and caused her skin to blister and bleed, Her condition was known as butterfly disease. Because even the slightest touch could break her skin.
Hayden's parents spend an hour and a half each day. Wrapping her in bandages and doing simple activities such as playing with toys or picking up her bottle can cause her to have a horrible blister.
There is no cure for epidermolysis bullosa, and treatment only focuses on relieving symptoms. 'Eating is a big problem. She has to stay away from most foods. Because they tear up her esophagus. We spend an hour and a half removing her bandages and putting on new ones daily.
To give a child a chance at a healthy future is the greatest gift of all.

❤️ Let's save this little life ❤️ We are looking for kind people to Donate to Help Baby Rhodes Open Heart Surgery.

Hours away from being discharged, the nurses found some abnormalities with Rhodes's oxygen levels.

After days of unknowns, several failed treatments, and tremendous heartache, baby Rhodes was diagnosed with what doctors were able to identify as a congenital heart defect called Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR).

Hi, This is Khrys and KD and we need your prayers, love, and support. As we welcome our secondborn child, Rhodes James Ramirez, into this world. Rhodes was born on December 17th.

Donate Now: http://tinyurl.com/DTSorgRhodes

Just 6 days after birth, Rhodes underwent open heart surgery to repair the abnormalities in his heart and is expected to have a recovery time of at least one month.

As you can imagine, this is something that no parent could ever plan for, and in return, it has taken a significant toll on our Family. We are frustrated, helpless and unable to navigate medical bills right now.

Please support us in saving our newborn Baby. We are seeking your help.

Any donation amount will help and be appreciated as we navigate medical bills, extensive trips to the hospital, and sustaining our basic family needs while not being able to work. Please keep Rhodes in your prayers. 😢

If you can't donate, Please share. ❤️ Let's save this little life.

Thanks.

Haven and Gideon’s unexpected child loss

SKYLERS STORY

What started as a healthy pregnancy ended in ways that most families do not have to experience

Our pregnancy was healthy aside from some early concerns that Skyler was a bit tinier than he should be, although by week 20 he had made huge progress and we were no longer concerned on any level

On Christmas Day at 12:30 am (4 weeks
before our due date) I had concerns about Skyler not making any movements and therefore decided to go to the hospital to check on him

While there they did 30 minutes of checking his heartbeat and movement which did not look good, his heartbeat was almost at a flat beat but still there. Next was to do an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech had 30 minutes to give Skyler a score of 0-10 ( 0 being poor health and 10 being healthy ). Skyler received a score of 2.

Once the doctor saw these results he decided to do a rushed C-section. I had one minute to call Gideon for him to get to the hospital with the other kids.

Skyler came out of the C-section not breathing, was instantly given 30 minutes of CPR, and then LifeFlighted to another hospital.

Once we arrived at the same hospital as him we were able to learn a lot more about his condition and how critical the first 48 hours of his life were going to be, we learned that Skyler had been having seizures and discussed giving Skyler a DNR which we agreed to since he had already had CPR and it would’ve been a lot on his tiny body to handle twice.

The medical team needed to get Skyler’s body temperature, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and much more to a stable level. He was maxed out on all medicines. The biggest concern of all was that Skyler didn’t have brain activity which is what we needed to see improvement on.

The doctors were able to get his oxygen tank down from 100% to only taking in 26%, blood pressure to a normal range, heart rate up, and a healthy heart rate.

However, by 48 hours Skyler’s brain had still not made any progress, ultimately bringing us to the decision of letting him pass on.

Skyler was cared for, loved, and comforted until the very end, letting go at 7:25 pm on December 27th.

One thing you don’t think of after losing a child or anyone is that life continues to move on. Bills don’t stop, caring for yourself or other kids doesn’t stop.

On top of normal life expenses, we also need to worry about post-mortem care and ways to keep Skyler’s memory alive.

Gideon works but doesn’t get the same benefits of being able to pause work and still have an income.

Our goal is for us to be comfortable and be able to pay for our bills, post Mortem's care, keep the other kids happy, and make sure we are staying sane without stressing money on top of the loss we are facing

Prayers for Derrick's recovery

Hi, my name is Samantha.
I'm Derrick's oldest daughter.
On the Saturday before Christmas, my father was in a terrible motorcycle accident.
He was taken by ambulance to the ICU at HCMC where he remained for a few days.

We are SO lucky we did not lose him.

Derrick suffered face lacerations and injuries to both arms that required surgery. A fractured collar bone and fractured leg. The scariest injuries were the lacerations to his liver. This required him to stay in the ICU to watch for internal bleeding.

As of Christmas Day, he was down graded from the ICU.
His liver tests are looking great and we could not be more thankful!

While this is some of the best news, given the circumstances, he is still going to have a long road to recovery.

Sub-Saharan Africa is experiencing one of the most alarming food crises in decades—immense in both its severity and geographic scope. Roughly 146 million people are suffering from acute food insecurity and require urgent humanitarian assistance. The crisis is driven by a range of local and global factors, including insecurity and armed conflict, extreme weather events, climate variability and negative macroeconomic impacts. Through this regional Emergency Appeal, the Transparent soul is supporting many Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies across Africa to protect the lives, livelihoods and prospects of millions of people.

Annabelle’s Medical Fund

Hi, We are Melissa and Tyler Pinkney, and we are reaching out to you on behalf of our 2.5-year-old daughter Annabelle. It has been a roller coaster this past month, as Annabelle became ill at the beginning of December with a shaking condition. At first, the test results indicated this was possibly a rare side effect of a Strep virus contracted through a bout with Tonsillitis.

Donate Now: https://www.transparentsoul.org/donations/annabelles-medical-fund/

Through follow-up visits to Sick Kids Hospital, it has been determined that Annabelle's shaking (tremors) and balance issues are a result of her immune system being compromised and attacking her nervous system.

She has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer, and a tumor has been found on the right Adrenal Gland. We are in shock and in a state of disbelief. How can this happen to our sweet little Annabelle?

We are still in the process of determining which Stage Annabelle is in and are presently at Sick Kids Hospital, where Annabelle is being admitted today. We are extremely hopeful it has been caught early and are still awaiting some test results. I will update this post when I know more.
