United Muslim Masjid (UMM) was established in 1998. From the beginning we’ve tried diligently to adhere to the Quran & Sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ. Over the years we have been led by numerous Imams whom have studied abroad. Currently Allah عزّ وجلّ has blessed us with the knowledgeable and firm Imam Hanif Fouse حفظه الله. In addition to Imam Hanif Allah ﷻ has also blessed us with Dr. Tahir Wyatt حفظه الل

ه whom is the first & only American to teach at the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله و صحبه وسلم masjid in Madinah. The duo has helped us assert our continued dedication to get closer to Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ by providing superb leadership and multifaceted educational programs which aide the Muslims in learning our Deen.

As Muslims, especially when living among non-believers, we can develop a false view of life. We expect it to be perfect and eternal, like Jannah. The afflictions we face are Allah's way of reminding us this world isn't our permanent home, so we don't get too attached.

True faith means finding peace in Allah's plan, even in hardship. Disobeying Him is the real loss. If sickness or poverty keeps you devoted, that's a blessing. We must see worldly struggles as less than disobeying Allah and facing His punishment.
