The restaurants of the Fishtown District continue to receive incredible praise from the media far and wide! The New York Times included several Fishtown District restaurants in their "Best Of" list this week of restaurants to try right now!

Places such as Kalaya, Middle Child Clubhouse, Suraya, and Ama all made the list! Check out what they had to say about them below!

"Amá in Fishtown opened last spring bringing an elevated twist on Mexican cuisine to the Fishtown neighborhood. Chef Frankie Ramirez and his wife Veronica along with partners Roberto Medina and Crisalida Mata have created and experience that is receiving rave reviews locally and nationally.

The Restaurant recently showed up on New York Times list of "41 Greatest Mexican Restaurants Across the United States." And the eatery's swordfish tacos were called one of "The Absolute Best Dishes We Ate at New Restaurants in 2026" by bon appétit magazine."

"Emmett, a beloved member of our Top 25, is heading upstairs with an intimate 15-seat sibling restaurant named Jean, built around a large hearth. The 12-course, North African- and Mediterranean-leaning menu will put that fire to work, with family-style dishes like slow-roasted tagine and plenty more cooked over the flames.

Unapologetic Foods, the group behind NYC hits like Dhamaka, Adda, and Semma, is bringing Adda to Fishtown. Expect tableside butter chicken, baby goat biriyani, lamb parcha, and more of the Indian dishes that made the NYC restaurant a hit."

Korshak rises from the dead and Emmett gets a fiery sibling. These are the most exciting fall openings in Philly.

It’s a no-brainer if you’re after a caffeine rush with Colombian flair, but it’s also worth crossing town for a masterclass in golden empanadas."

Café Tinto Fishtown is a Colombian spot in Fishtown with sandwiches, pastries, and excellent fresh juices.
