A love of handwork, a little East Falls history, and a whole lot of stitching. 🧵💚

After learning to sew at the Betsy Ross House in 2014, Meredith, the creator behind East Falls Needlework, has been stitching ever since. After 10 years of living in East Falls, she’s bringing that passion to the neighborhood with a collection inspired by family history.

East Falls Needlework was inspired by Meredith’s husband, Sean, and his family photo albums from the 1980s and ’90s, which feature generations of his family wearing vintage East Falls gear. Those memories inspired “EF” appliqué hats, hand-embroidered sweatshirts, and other neighborhood-inspired pieces.

Each piece is thoughtfully handmade with 100% wool felt, cotton hats, and vintage upcycled sweatshirts, giving every piece its own story while helping reduce clothing waste. ♻️

East Falls Needlework has become a way to connect with fellow Fallsers. Come check out East Falls Needlework on October 17 and find a piece of East Falls history to take home! 🍁

What started with a couple of pottery classes turned into a love for creating with clay.🏺✨

Jordan started Skye Ceramics in 2023 after developing a love for pottery, and deciding she couldn’t live without it. Since then, she’s been doodling and painting on clay, creating pieces that are both functional and fun.

At East Falls Fest, you’ll find some of her classic ceramics, including mugs, cups, bowls, and plates, along with some of her more playful creations like little ghosts and pumpkins. 👻🎃

Movement can look a lot of different ways at Mishana Yoga. 💃🧘‍♀️✨

From dance and yoga to sound healing, Mishana Yoga offers a variety of ways to move, connect, and explore what wellness means to you. Their shuffle dance classes have become a community favorite, with their 10th beginner series coming up this November!

Founded nearly 8 years ago, Mishana Yoga grew from owner Mary DiMeglio’s desire to share what she had learned throughout her own journey toward living a happy and healthy life. Since opening in 2018, the studio has naturally grown to include yoga, dance, sound healing, and a welcoming community.

Making wellness accessible is at the heart of Mishana Yoga. Classes are beginner-friendly, and all bodies are welcome!

BeautifitStrong creates space for everyone to move, feel good, and work toward their own version of health and fitness. 💪

This Tabata Bounce class with Darla and Shawnette is just one example of the variety of classes offered by owner Audra Anusionwu, including her signature Lift & Sculpt classes every Tuesday and Thursday.

Audra created BeautifitStrong to be a solution to what she saw around her: “I wanted to create a space where people could move their bodies in a judgment-free environment.” Whether your goal is to build strength, have fun, or simply feel better in your body, Audra believes fitness should work for you and your goals. ✨

The final East Falls B**r Garden of the season is almost here! 🍻 Join us Thursday, September 24 from 6–10 PM under the Twin Bridges at 4100 Ridge Ave for one last evening of local b**r, food, and good company. Come hang out with your neighbors, enjoy the fall weather, and help us send off another great season of B**r Gardens in East Falls. We’ll see you there! 🌆🍺

The bike race celebration is happening throughout the neighborhood! 🚲🎉 Our East Falls businesses are joining in on the Philadelphia Cycling Classic with special food, drinks, discounts, and more on race day. It’s a great excuse to explore the neighborhood, cheer on the riders, and shop, eat, and drink local while you’re here. ❤️

Message from the Billy Murphy's East Falls B**r Garden team:

Unfortunately we've made the decision to cancel Thursday's East Falls b**r garden due to the heavy thunderstorms and possible destructive winds in the forecast. We'll return on Thursday, September 24 from 6-10pm. We hope to see everyone there for some good times and beautiful early fall weather.
