National Police Week-

Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of our police officers. We remember and honor those who are no longer with us after making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their bravery, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

To the officers who continue to hold the line every single day — thank you. Thank you for the long hours, the missed holidays with your families, the sacrifices you make behind the scenes, and the commitment you continue to show while serving and protecting our communities.

Policing is not an easy job. Every day you respond to situations that most people could never imagine, yet you continue to show up and do your best to make a difference. Many times the positive things you do go unnoticed, but there are still countless people who appreciate and support you.
Thank you for making a positive impact in our neighborhoods, for helping those in need, for standing up during difficult times, and for continuing to serve with courage, strength, and dedication.

During National Police Week, we honor the fallen, support the living, and recognize the men and women behind the badge. Stay safe, and know that your service is appreciated more than words can express.

🚔 NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS – 2026 PHILADELPHIA POLICE EXPLORERS CAMP 🚔

Do you know a young man or woman entering 8th through 11th grade who is interested in law enforcement, leadership, teamwork, and community service? The Philadelphia Police Explorers Post 991 is now accepting applications for the 2026 Police Explorers Camp!

This program gives youth the opportunity to learn directly from law enforcement professionals while building confidence, discipline, communication skills, and lifelong friendships. Cadets will experience hands-on training, leadership development, teamwork exercises, and insight into careers in public safety.

Residents and visitors are advised to relocate all vehicles prior to 6:00 AM to avoid ticketing and tow relocation.
