It's the 16th anniversary of the passage of the Affordable Care Act!

One of the biggest reasons to celebrate is the ACA's expansion of Medicaid, which got an additional 750,000 Pennsylvanians health coverage!

BIG thanks to Irene from Philadelphia, PA, who participated in our press call today and shared her story about starting a small business & how Medicaid helps her family stay healthy. 🙏🙏

But the coverage gains from Medicaid are under threat due to the passage of H.R. 1 last summer, which made historic cuts to Medicaid. Today, we're calling on Congress to REVERSE cuts to Medicaid.

2025 was a tough year. Lawmakers have shown they’re willing to put our healthcare at risk to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.

We're already seeing the consequences: healthcare premiums are climbing, hundreds of thousands of families are at risk of losing Medicaid, and more hospital and maternity unit closures have left communities across Pennsylvania with fewer options for care.

But this fight isn't over. And in 2026, PHAN will be there to fight back and lift up your voices.
