We're teaming up with Transit Forward Philadelphia to host an Arts Transit Accessibility Audit! Join us in the Creative PHL office at City Hall for an accessibility audit of the bus stops near some of Center City's arts & cultural centers.

Registration is open for our 2026 - 2027 series of Accessibility Basics! Accessibility Basics, our educational accessibility professional development series for arts & culture workers, is starting once again in September! Join our 6-session series and learn from disabled and allied professionals, thought leaders, activists, and artists.

Registration for Accessibility Basics is $25 per session. Participants have the option of purchasing individual sessions or purchasing all six sessions as a package for $100. Learn on your budget and your time. The full six-session series is free for individuals local to Art-Reach’s service area of Greater Philadelphia, Brandywine Valley, and Southern New Jersey.

All sessions will be hosted in Zoom with ASL interpretation and autogenerated closed captions. We will work with your access needs, and each session will be recorded, captioned, and sent to attendees after. Our 2-hour long sessions will incorporate lectures and discussions, with greater emphasis on interactive learning. We hope you'll join us for this series of Accessibility Basics!

This year, Art-Reach is honored to be co-hosting LEAD 2026! This year, the Leadership Exchange in Arts & Disability (LEAD) is taking place in Philadelphia, at the Marriott Downtown Philadelphia, from August 11-14. Additionally, we're excited to announce that we were able to provide 113 scholarships for LEAD with support from the William Penn Foundation!

ACCESS partner site Glencairn Museum has an exciting event coming up!

"Step back in time and join us at Glencairn Museum from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 6th, for our family friendly Ancient Cultures Program!

Learn about the ritual of mummification in ancient Egypt, travel to ancient Rome to meet gods and goddesses, uncover temple gifts in ancient Greece, and investigate the protective art of ancient Mesopotamian palaces!

Each culture will give you the chance to try a different hands-on project, including cuneiform clay tablets, protective amulets, and symbolic jewelry."

Celebrating National Disability Independence Day! Today commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law on July 26, 1990. This landmark legislation came after decades of grassroots activism and transformed access to opportunities and public life for people with disabilities. While the fight for full inclusion isn't over and the disability employment gap persists, the ADA remains an important chapter in the ongoing struggle for disability rights.

“Medley Arts Center is a multi-use creative hub in Bryn Mawr designed to support music education, rehearsals, workshops, small-scale performance, and community arts programming. The goal is to create an accessible, inspiring space where students, educators, artists, and organizations can grow and collaborate over time.

Medley Arts Center is located in Bryn Mawr within the Parish House at Church of the Good Shepherd, offering a central Main Line location with easy access to surrounding communities.

This location gives Medley a strong balance of accessibility, character, and community presence. It allows the space to serve local students, educators, performers, and organizations while also staying connected to the broader Philadelphia-area creative community.”
