Join FringeArts and Nichole Canuso Dance Company for audio-described performances of Lunar Retreat!

"This new work by Nichole Canuso - Branching Paths, is an immersive, interactive, and multi-sensory performance inspired by the gradual, growing distance between the Moon and Earth. As we developed this piece, we built relationships with the Blind and Low Vision communities through workshops, showings, explorations, and conversations. Tactile elements are now incorporated into the design of the show to ensure that the sensory world of the piece is fully available to those experiencing it through touch. Audio Description is included alongside the gentle invitations to wander, witness, and reflect on how we move through care, loss, and transformation—both individually and collectively. In some moments, dancers will guide and interact with you through light touch, inviting you to join them in gestures and movement. Come as you are, engage along your own chosen path, and move at your own pace.

Please plan to arrive 30 min early, so that we can make sure your access needs are accommodated.

All audience members receive headphones with adjustable volume for much of the show’s soundscape and for AD on select performances.

PCA's do not require a ticket, but please let us know in advance that your PCA will accompany you as space and headsets for the show are limited.

The first session of Accessibility Basics is happening next week! On September 8th at 3 pm EST join Akili Davis for her presentation, Disability Justice in Arts & Culture Spaces.

During this session, Akili will talk about her path to disability justice work, the people who inspire her, and how she utilizes her experiences as a disabled woman to increase the accessibility of arts events for others.

Learn your voting rights, try accessible voting tech, and get ready for November.

We invite you to our October 6th Accessible Voting Workshop, 5:30-7 PM at the Tech OWL - Technology for Our Whole Lives Community Space (1392 Cecil B Moore Ave). This event is hosted by the Mayor's Commission on People with Disabilities, Art-Reach, and the Office for People with Disabilities. We're grateful for the involvement of our city commissioners! City of Philadelphia Government

The TechOWL Community Space is an accessible venue near the Broad Street Line. This event is free and open to the public. Food will be provided for attendees.

Last week, Art-Reach teamed up with Transit Forward Philadelphia to conduct an accessibility audit of Septa Philly bus stops that connect people to Philadelphia’s cultural institutions along Museum Mile, Avenue of the Arts, and arts organizations throughout Center City. Big thank you to Creative Philadelphia for hosting us all at City Hall. More than 20 arts accessibility advocates joined us for the arts transit accessibility audit. Art-Reach is launching the Philadelphia Agreement - A New Model for Guiding Arts and Culture Accessibility Work in the City! The Philadelphia Agreement is a shared commitment between the disability community and cultural organizations in Philadelphia. It is also an opportunity for aspiring, new, and experienced accessibility advocates to join and influence the local arts organizations.

Our first session for the 2026-2027 season of Accessibility Basics is coming up next month!

In this session, participants will learn about core disability justice principles, how they intersect with the arts and culture landscape of the city, and practical solutions for creating welcoming and accessible spaces for all in a largely inaccessible historic city. Join Akili Z. Davis, writer, curator, and accessibility consultant, to hear about her path to disability justice work, the people whose work inspires her, and how she utilizes her experiences as a disabled woman to increase the accessibility of arts events for others.
