As is true across all systems of oppression, women, trans, and, gender non-conforming immigrants (TGNC) face unique challenges based on their gender identity. From the decision to leave one's country of birth, to experiences in the U.S. labor market, immigration systems, and society at large, immigrant women and TGNC people face risks and challenges not shared by their cis-male counterparts. For this reason, gender must be part of the conversation about immigration. Join Gender Justice Fund and the Masculinity Action Project for a conversation on the intersection of immigration and gender justice.

Speakers:
- Sara Giraldo, Immigration Attorney
- Nati Nicastro, Coordinator, El Comité de Trabajadorxs de Restaurante
- Jaya Ramji-Nogales, Sheller Family Professor in Public Interest Law, Temple University, Beasley School of Law

Registration required: https://givebutter.com/immigration-and-gender

Light refreshments, child care, and Spanish translation will be provided.

This is the opening event for , an annual a partnership between Gender Justice Fund (GJF) and the Masculinity Action Project (MAP) with the goal of engaging men and masc people as allies for gender justice.
----
