USTA Philadelphia District Growing tennis to inspire healthier people & communities in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, & Montgomery counties!

The USTA/MS/Philadelphia Area Tennis District (USTA/MS/PATD) encompasses the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs: Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. A volunteer-based, nonprofit organization, USTA/MS/PATD is dedicated to carrying out the goals of the national association within its region, particularly with respect to promoting tennis opportunities for juniors and adult

s of all abilities and cultural backgrounds. The district co-existed with the Philadelphia Interclub Association until 1955 when the Middle States Tennis Association, a section of the United States Lawn Tennis Association, recognized the district as the official body of tennis in the Philadelphia five-county area. Since 1955, individual membership has grown to more than 11 thousand. In addition, organizational members includes clubs, schools, parks and recreation facilities.

Middle States Junior Team Tennis Sectionals concluded this June with three teams from PATD taking home 1st and 2nd place trophies.

Congratulations to Might Gators for a 1st place victory in both the 12s and 14s age division. And, to Cheltenham Youth Tennis for taking 2nd place after a tough 8-10, two point, tiebreaker loss!
