We strive to to promote the health, safety, welfare, improvement of living conditions, and the quality of life thru cooperative action of residents and others. Founded in 1975 by neighbors with mutual care and compassion for the East Falls area, the council began as an events committee. While it still serves this long held tradition, the all-volunteer council has become much, much more. Members pu
blish our neighborhood newspaper, The East Falls NOW, and they serve East Falls as a Recognized Community Organization (RCO) representing the zoning and traffic concerns of East Falls to the city of Philadelphia. Additionally, EFCC works in close collaboration with a network of volunteer-based organizations throughout the neighborhood. East Falls Community Council's highest purpose is to improve the quality of life for every East Falls resident.
