Grateful is an understatement.

Because of your kindness, generosity, and support, we were able to pay off the remaining past due balance on our boarding account today 🥳

We truly could not do this without each and every one of you. Whether you donated or shared our post, you played a part in helping us reach this goal, and we are so incredibly thankful for your support.

Any additional donations that come in will go directly toward this week's upcoming boarding bill. We are so close to reaching our goal 🐾

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have been able to pay $276 toward our current boarding balance!

We still have approximately $203 remaining from our past due balance and would love to get it paid off so we can get caught back up and focus on the care and appointments ahead for the dogs in our rescue. As long as our dogs remain in boarding, those expenses continue each week, making it even more important for us to get caught up when we can.

Over a year..

That is how long Walker has been back with us waiting for someone to choose him.

In that time, he has watched other dogs come and go. He has had some interest, a few applications and opportunities that we hoped would finally be his chance. Unfortunately, they just were not the right fit for this boy.

Our hearts break for him because he truly is such a special dog.

Walker is smart, eager to learn, and loves having a purpose. He thrives when he is included and would make an incredible companion for an active family or individual. Whether it's going for walks, exploring new places, playing, learning new things, or simply spending time with his people, Walker is happiest when he is part of the adventure.

He has had a tremendous amount of time and love invested in him while waiting for his forever home thanks to Riverside Canine. He does great with other dogs but will need a cat free home.

The hardest part is knowing just how much love he has to offer while continuing to watch him be overlooked.

We know his person is out there somewhere. We know there is someone looking for a dog just like Walker.

He just needs that person to finally find him.

Walker is a 2.5 year old pit mix who is fully vetted. He is neutered and current on his vaccinations.

Our current boarding balance is $479.49.

We would love to make it our goal to get this balance paid off this week so we can get caught up.

As long as these dogs remain in boarding, we receive a new bill every Friday. Right now, boarding for the four dogs in our care runs approximately $364 per week and those expenses continue to add up while they wait for foster or adoptive homes.

We are doing everything we can to find placements, network our dogs, and reduce expenses, but the reality is that our resources are becoming very limited. Much of our available funding has gone directly toward boarding expenses in recent weeks to ensure these dogs remain safe and cared for while they wait.

At the same time, we have two dogs currently undergoing heartworm treatment, ongoing veterinary care, food, preventatives, and the everyday expenses that come with rescue.

We need help. Whether through donations, fostering, adopting, or sharing our dogs, community support is the only way we can continue moving forward.

Paying off this balance would allow us to get caught back up and focus on some important appointments ahead, including Rocky's first set of heartworm treatment injections and Boxer's ongoing treatment.

We are beyond grateful for everyone who stepped up for us last week. Your support is the only reason we are still able to keep going.

Unfortunately, we are still not in the clear. The reality is, we are still facing ongoing weekly costs that we cannot keep up with alone.

We currently have four dogs in boarding while they wait for foster or adoptive homes. Boarding alone costs us right around $364 each week and those expenses continue to add up while we work tirelessly to find placements for them.

On top of that, we have two dogs currently undergoing heartworm treatment, along with ongoing veterinary expenses, food, preventatives, and the everyday costs that come with caring for these babies who depend on us.

We have been actively searching for fosters, networking our dogs, and exploring every option we can think of to reduce expenses and find them homes. While we have made progress, the reality is that we still need our community’s support to keep moving forward.

We don't like having to make these posts. We would much rather be sharing adoption posts and happy updates. But right now, this is our reality, and we simply cannot do it alone.

We are still searching for the right foster or foster to adopt home for Rocky ❤️

He is currently in a temporary foster placement but he would truly benefit from a calmer environment where he can decompress, settle in, and focus on healing while completing heartworm treatment. His treatment is fully covered by the rescue and fostering is completely free.

This sweet boy is incredibly loving and forms deep bonds with his people. He loves cuddling, going for walks, playing with toys, and enjoying treats. If given the chance, he will happily plop his big ol' butt right in your lap because that's his favorite place to be. And if belly rubs are involved, even better.

He is estimated to be around 5 years old and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. All he needs is a calm place to relax, heal, and be loved while he continues his journey toward a forever home.

Rocky has done well with cats previously and may do well again with the right canine companion following slow, proper introductions. More than anything, he just needs a place where he can feel safe, loved, and comfortable as he continues his journey toward a forever home.

We really need your help.

We currently have four dogs in boarding while they wait for foster or adoptive homes. Every week, that boarding bill is right around $364. While we are grateful to have a safe place for them to stay, those costs add up quickly and are depleting our rescue funds much faster than we anticipated.

At the same time, we have ongoing veterinary care, including heartworm treatment for two of our dogs right now. We are more than committed to seeing them through the care they need, but the reality is that our resources are being stretched thin and we can’t continue like this.

If we're being honest, it feels like we're begging at this point. We've made the posts, reached out for help, searched for fosters, networked our dogs, and explored every option we can think of. We don't like having to ask over and over again, but the reality is that we cannot do this alone.

If just a small portion of our followers donated $5 today, it would make a meaningful difference toward this week's boarding bill and help ensure we can continue providing the medical care our dogs need.

Meet Gaston 🐾

We are looking for a foster or adopter for this handsome boy.

Gaston is a sweet boy with a fun personality and plenty of energy. He's been described as a bit of a wild child, always keeping things interesting and bringing lots of enthusiasm wherever he goes.

Because of his excitement, Gaston is still working on his leash manners and can pull or jump at times. He would likely do best with older children while he continues learning and building on his manners.

Gaston is a very sweet boy who enjoys attention and has done well around other dogs. With slow and proper introductions, we believe he could do well with a compatible canine companion.

Right now, Gaston is looking for a foster or forever home where he can continue learning, receive the guidance he needs, and finally enjoy life outside of boarding.

Gaston is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is around 3 years old. Fostering is completely free. If you can't foster or adopt, please share to help Gaston find his forever home.

Meet Princess 👑💞

Princess fits her name perfectly. This beautiful girl is the definition of a gentle soul.

Princess is around 5 years old and is current on her vetting. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She has a calm, laid back personality and a sweet, loving nature. Princess is easygoing, affectionate, and would make a wonderful companion for just about any family looking for a loyal and calm best friend.

Right now she is spending her days in boarding while she waits for someone to see just how special she really is. While we're grateful she's safe, what she truly deserves is a home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by comfort, companionship, and love. A foster or adopter would mean the world to Princess and to us. Fostering is completely free and even opening your home to her temporarily would help give her a break from boarding while she waits for her forever family. Princess's adoption fee has been partially sponsored for the right home and we would love to see this sweet girl finally get the chance she deserves. her find the happy ending she deserves.
