What a week for Northern Michigan SHRM (NMSHRM)! 🎉

Last Thursday, our chapter came together for our annual SHRM Foundation fundraiser at Palette Bistro—and wow, did you SHOW UP! We had more attendees than ever before and raised funds for our MISHRM Conference Silent Auction donation. 🙌

💙 A HUGE thank-you to Steve Cestari of UKG for sponsoring the evening. UKG’s people-centered mission shines through in everything they do, and Steve set the tone for the night by bringing authenticity, camaraderie, and plenty of SWAG. Thank you, Steve & UKG, for being our very first sponsor of this special event!

We were also honored to welcome Sharon Ragland-Keys, MISHRM SHRM Foundation Director, as our first-ever MISHRM Council visitor. She encouraged us to tap into the many resources and grants the Foundation offers—(and yes, the grant window is open right now!).

✨ Highlights from the night:

Seeing NMSHRM alumni Pat and Laura back with us again 💕

The lucky winner of Heather Sauer’s generous Heather’s Happy Travels trip giveaway—congrats, Meagan Zoodsma! ✈️

Then on Friday, we wrapped the week with a sold-out quarterly professional development program (34 attendees!). We learned about the Five Behaviors of Team Dynamics with the amazing Cheri Allen from Talent Lantern and got 2025 legal updates from John Gardiner of Bodman Law.

Thank you to everyone who came out to learn, connect, and celebrate with us. 💙 You’re the reason NMSHRM is such a strong community.
