Little Traverse Bay Crucifix

We've had a lot of people contact us asking about a Viewing of the Crucifix this year. Organizers of the event are very disappointed to announce that due to ice conditions and concern for guests, the event will not be held in 2018. Hopefully, next year will be a different story and once again guests will be able to make the trek out to see the 11-foot underwater crucifix that is a shrine to divers and a reminder to be safe.

For those who emailed or called us, thank you for your interest and look for an announcement next February or March with a date.

The Annual Viewing of The Little Traverse Bay Crucifix will be held on Sat., March 7 from 11am to 6pm. The trail starts at the Petoskey Waterfront Playground area. Ice thickness is 4'+. For more info., please call Denny at 231-526-6272

I'm sorry to say at this moment the viewing is canceled due to dangerous ice conditions. We are looking at possibly moving the viewing later into the month with hopes the ice will smooth out.

Viewing this year is still up in the air. We are crossing are fingers that the weather cooperates with us and freezes the bay for a viewing. Hoping to see you out there soon.
