Tiny but mighty news from the Northmen Den family 💙

Please join us in celebrating the arrival of Ronan, the beautiful baby boy of our Executive Director, Liz A. E. McKenney, and her husband, Mark! 👶

While she spends time soaking in newborn snuggles, late-night feedings, and all the sweet moments that come with welcoming a new little one, we know she’s already bringing the same love, strength, and heart to motherhood that she brings to Northmen Den every single day.

As Liz prepares to step away for maternity leave, Northmen Den Youth Services is pleased to share that Kari Manthei will be stepping in to provide coverage during her time away.

Liz and Kari worked closely together for many years at the YMCA and have a strong, well-established working relationship. Kari brings a deep understanding of the work and the community, and we are grateful to have her support during this time.

Because of your dedication, students across our communities have access to food, support, and care in a way that respects their dignity and keeps them focused on what matters most—being kids.

We’ve got something new to help YOU.

Thanks to a grant we received from the Ted and Deborah Frey Donor Advised Fund, we were able to purchase grocery carts—purchased to make moving food to the Dens easier, safer, and more efficient.

Less strain.
More support.
Same incredible impact.

These carts may seem like a small addition, but they’re one more way we can support the people who make this mission possible.
