SUBMISSION OF PINS, BEADS AND COINS FOR JUDGING
Krewe Items for Krewe Awards and Points Towards Overall 1st / 2nd / 3rd Place:
• Krewe Pins for “Best Krewe Pin”
• Krewe Bead for “Best Krewe Bead”
Individual Items for Stand-Alone Awards:
• Challenge Coin (Krewe or Individual) for “Best Challenge Coin”
• Individual Pin (not Krewe, only Individuals) for “Best Individual Pin”
In order to ensure the return of the items submitted for judging, we ask that all submissions be in a zip-lock bag or equivalent that includes a piece of paper or index card with the following information:
• Judging Category(s) and applicable item(s)
• Krewe Name
• Point of contact
• Phone number
• Email address
Krewe submissions can all be in one bag but we ask that individual items for judging be in a separate bag to help us keep everything organized.
To make it easier for judging, we would like 2 coins if possible, so that both sides can be displayed at the same time.
Our intention, with your permission when you submit your items for judging is to keep the Pin, Bead and Coin until the award ceremony. We also intend to mount your Pin, Bead and Coin to the award plaque if you give us permission at submission as well.
***Note: All submissions for judging must be submitted by an active/current member of a Mardi Gras Krewe, no submissions by the general public.
All items submitted for judging will be taken by the Krewe of Blues to the Board Room building for judging during the Pin and Bead Festival. No results will be announced at or during the Pin and Bead Festival.
All awards with the exception of the Overall 1st / 2nd / 3rd place awards will be announced and presented at the 4th Annual Pin and Bead Award Ceremony at (location TBD) on Sunday, 01 February 2026 at 5 pm. A separate event will be posted after the festival.
Overall 1st / 2nd / 3rd place awards will be announced and presented at Seville during the Fat Tuesday Priscus Celebration on Tuesday, 17 February 2026.
***If you would like to drop-off/pre-stage items the day before, we will be at Ensley Park 10 am to 12 pm (Noon) to allow for access. Items for judging will be locked in the Board Room Build and there is security in the park overnight so your items will be safe.
