St. Michael's Cemetery has reopened and is back to its normal operating hours.
A huge thank you to the incredible volunteers from the St. Michael's Cemetery Foundation of Pensacola and UWF Anthropology and Archaeology for helping remove the fallen tree, cover the damaged vaults, and secure the area. We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to Eager Beaver Professional Tree Care for their outstanding work and incredibly quick response. We truly couldn't have done it without them.
For everyone's safety and to help protect historic resources, please do not enter the fenced-off areas of the cemetery. Unfortunately, the tree removal and emergency stabilization of the damaged vaults will cost several thousand dollars. If you're able to help, please consider making a donation or becoming a member of the St. Michael's Cemetery Foundation of Pensacola. Every contribution directly supports our ongoing—and never-ending—efforts to preserve Pensacola's oldest cemetery for future generations.
