The Conference Center hosts retreats, workshops, classes, conferences and other activities.

The Spiritual activities offered at Arnold Hall Conference Center are entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.

In 1949, a young priest named Fr. José Luis Múzquiz arrived in the United States with a mission: to bring Opus Dei's message that ordinary life — work, family, friendships — is the very place God calls us to holiness.

Fifteen years later, in 1964, that mission took physical shape in Pembroke, Massachusetts, as Arnold Hall Conference Center. Over 60 years later, professionals from across the country still gather here for exactly the vision Fr. Múzquiz carried across the Atlantic.

Fr. José Luis Múzquiz was one of the first members of Opus Dei to come to the United States. His dream was a place where ordinary people could discover that God is waiting for them in their daily lives.

Arnold Hall carries that mission forward today, right here in Pembroke, Massachusetts.

After a retreat, most of us return home to the very same responsibilities — the same work, the same family schedule, the same full calendar. And yet something inside can feel different.

Silence helps us listen more deeply. Prayer helps us begin again with peace. A few quiet days can become the start of living each ordinary day with more intention and joy.

On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of Opus Dei and in preparation for the Centennial, women of all ages from Boston, Cambridge, Metro West, the South Shore, Cape, and Greater New England Area gathered at Arnold Hall to workshop the theme "Contemplatives in Ordinary Life".

In a warm family atmosphere of encouragement, friendship, and hope for the future, they prayed and meditated on these themes, soaked in presentations, workshopped case studies, shared their perspectives in small and large group discussions, and enjoyed being with one another.

Video clips of St. Josemaria Escriva's advice and responses to questions facilitated reflection on this charism of finding God throughout our days in ordinary moments. A panel of women at different stages of life who have been inspired by his teaching shared what has helped them to become contemplative.

Together with the beauty of the setting on this early Fall day from the terrace overlooking the lake - the day provided fresh air and inspiration in many ways.

Today we celebrate the canonization of Saint Josemaría Escriva.

One of St. Josemaría's most practical teachings: don't split your life into 'faith' on one side and 'everything else' on the other.

He called it unity of life — being the same person, with the same values, whether you're at Mass, at work, or at home. 🌿
