Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization based in Pembroke, MA. We rely solely on the backbone of our rescue which is fosters and volunteers. We exist to rescue and re-home dogs that would not have a chance otherwise. We are the voice for the voiceless. We take pride in educating the public on rescue dogs and the spay/neuter crisis in the south. We pull ani

mals from McNairy Humane Society in TN. Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats). Our end goal is the same of many other rescues to provide a furever happy home to our animals. We pull animals from McNairy Humane Society in TN!

🐾 MEET THIS HANDSOME GUY… MARLEY! 🤍

112 pounds of fluff, sweetness, and absolutely no understanding of personal space. 😂

Marley is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix currently living at the shelter and ready to find his perfect forever family. This big guy is an absolute sweetheart who loves nothing more than being close to his people.

Marley enjoys leisurely walks, car rides, couch snuggles, and head scratches—and please don’t stop those scratches before Marley decides you’re finished. The look of disappointment will say it all. 😂

Marley has shown resource guarding with high-value items around other dogs, so he needs to be the one and only pup in his forever home. He has not shown this behavior toward people and is incredibly sweet with his human friends.

Despite being a VERY large gentleman, Marley walks beautifully beside his handler and is happiest simply hanging out with his people.

His requirements are pretty simple: a family to love, plenty of head scratches, some nice walks…and enough room on the couch for all 112 pounds of him. 🤍😂

Rhaena is a 30-pound Lab mix and a sweet young pup who is still figuring out this big new world around her.

She’s settling in and making progress every day! Crate time and car rides are still new experiences for Rhaena, so our team is working with her to help make both feel a little more familiar and comfortable.

Born February 4, 2026, Aemond is a 32-pound Lab mix who is already off to a great start with his training.

Now that our Dragon puppies are settling in, we’re learning what each one needs to truly thrive. For Baela, that’s a little extra patience, reassurance, and time.

Baela is a 34-pound Lab mix and currently the shyest of the Dragon crew. The world still feels pretty big to this sweet girl, and she’s going to need a family who understands that trust doesn’t happen overnight.

Meg is a gorgeous Husky/Carolina Dog mix, born January 23, 2026, and weighs about 30 pounds. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her some time to build trust and you’ll get to see the sweet, loving girl underneath.

Once Meg is comfortable, she’s just as happy heading out for an adventure as she is curling up beside you on the couch. She’s looking for a patient family who will continue helping her build confidence and show her just how good life can be.

Every House Needs a Dragon… Meet Rhaenyra 🐉❤️

Rhaenyra is a 6-month-old Lab mix weighing about 30 pounds. She’s a timid but curious girl who becomes playful and confident once she feels safe. ❤️

As she settles in, her personality starts to shine through with tail wags, zoomies, toy tossing, and excitement when her favorite people come home.

At home, Rhaenyra is doing great! She’s crate trained, quiet in her crate, and has only had one accident.

Once Rhaenyra trusts you, she stays close, gives gentle kisses, and lets more of her sweet and silly personality shine every day. ❤️
