In a matter of weeks, this number on our national website (End Hunger NE is specifically for New England) will be updated to a billion. We have funded and packed 54 million meals in our region alone.

This nation-wide accomplishment has taken 22 years (when our cofounders, Floyd and Kathy, retired and started this incredible nonprofit). If everyone packed at the pace we have in the last year in our region, the next billion would be done in just 10 years.

We serve 701 pantries, backpack programs, homeless shelters, and food banks across six states. There are 1,360 communities in New England, so we would like to reach that number and pack a million meals a month.

What I learned this weekend:
Pembroke, Chicago, and DC were our first three regions established just over 15 years ago. Four others have been added and stuck:
New York, three years later
Then California, two years after that
Followed by Texas and the Carolinas.

11 people in our home office cover all of the flyover territory. In addition to to Iowa warehouses, we have one in Kansas and ours in Pembroke.

We are a united team ending hunger throughout our country. We have 10 kinds of domestic meals that are very nutritious, delicious, and wicked easy to prepare by simply boiling water. No other nonprofit can say that.

Our most common donation is $25. In 16 years, we have raised almost $21.6 million to pack 54,000,000 meals for our hungry neighbors. Please give what you can ($25, $125, $250, $2,500 or anything with 25 in it), so that we can have our annual 9-11 event:

In the last 12 months, we've done 163 events. On average once a week, we do a warehouse event. An anonymous donor has offered to fund a 9-11 service day at the warehouse if we are able to book between 9-11 events before the end of the month. Groups can book mobile or warehouse events up to 12 months in advance. Please email us the paperwork for your next mobile event today! To book a warehouse event, we just need the date, start and end times, and number of volunteers ($86.40/volunteer/hour).
