Marshfield VFW Announces Essay Winners

The Marshfield Daniel Webster VFW Post 8345 is pleased to announce that Diduli Gamage (First Place) of Marshfield and Finley Nadeau (Honorable Mention) of Hanover are the Local Winners of the 2025 – 2026 Voice of Democracy essay contest, having demonstrated outstanding Knowledge, Development, and Clarity of Ideas for the theme “How Are You Showing Patriotism and Support for Our Country?”

Diduli’s entry now advances to the District level for further judging.

“This was a wonderful year for Voice of Democracy entries,” says Pat Fleming, Commander of the Marshfield VFW. “We had a number of outstanding entries from local students who clearly love our great country. The judges had a difficult time choosing just one first place winner. Thus, we also have an honorable mention this year. We wish Diduli the best of luck at the District level. We wish both Diduli and Finley a great future. We applaud them for outstanding essays and for their love of the USA.”
