Annualy, LTC connects, educates & empowers 25+ leaders through an 11-month program featuring leadership development, in-depth exploration of key regional sectors, & a class-led service project.

A heartfelt thank you to Moses Jaraysi, Class XVI, for hosting Leadership Tri-Cities' Leadership Development Evening last month!

Participants explored the principle of Enabling Others to Act from The Leadership Challenge, engaging in meaningful discussions about trust, collaboration, and empowering others to achieve shared goals. Moses provided valuable insight and facilitated an impactful evening of leadership growth and connection.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to WorkSorce Columbia Basin for generously providing meeting space for our Leadership Development Evenings throughout the past year. Their partnership has helped create opportunities for LTC alumni to continue learning, growing, and strengthening our community of leaders.

Last week, Leadership Tri-Cities Class 29 had an incredible opportunity to learn more about the history, science, and future of the Hanford site. From understanding the inner workings of the Hanford Nuclear Reactor to exploring the massive clean-up efforts underway, the day highlighted the complexity and importance of this work to our region and beyond.

We also had the privilege of learning about the innovative research and groundbreaking projects happening at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where science and technology continue to shape solutions for the future.

A huge thank you to our presenters, guides, and community partners for sharing their expertise and giving us a deeper appreciation for the impact these organizations have on the Tri-Cities community.

Leadership Tri-Cities Arts & Entertainment Day this past April was an inspiring reminder of the powerful role the arts play in shaping our community. H2C was proud to sponsor the day, with lunch generously sponsored by Arts Center Task Force.

The experience began at ACT and concluded at Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet and Music, bringing together leaders from across the visual, performing, and musical arts community — including representatives from the Washington State Arts Commission.

Throughout the day, participants explored how the arts elevate quality of life, strengthen community connections, inspire creativity, and contribute to positive economic development throughout the Tri-Cities region.

Thank you to all of the artists, educators, performers, and advocates who shared their passion and vision for the future of arts and entertainment in our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for March First Friday today!

We were delighted to welcome Kirk Williamson, a proud Leadership Tri-Cities Class I member, who shared a fascinating presentation about four influential female pioneers of the Pacific Northwest.

Kirk describes himself as a “recovering broadcaster who has flunked retirement…twice.” Since arriving in the Tri-Cities in 1975, he has played a role in numerous community events and projects and was honored as Kennewick Man of the Year in 2000. He also served two terms on the Leadership Tri-Cities Board and is a founding member of the Columbia Basin Badger Club, recently completing his second six-year term as president.

In addition to his many community roles, Kirk now works as a local guide for passengers on the cruise boats that visit the region from April through November, sharing the stories and history that make the Columbia Basin so special.

We appreciate Kirk for bringing these remarkable stories to life and everyone who joined us for another great First Friday conversation!

🌾Leadership Tri-Cities Agriculture Session Day🌾

Class XXIX rolled up their sleeves and dug deep into one of the most vital industries in our region, agriculture. From hearing directly from industry experts to touring local farms and wineries, the day offered a firsthand look at the innovation, resilience, and stewardship that powers the Tri-Cities.

Participants explored the complex history of water rights, the science behind soil development, and the interconnected story of our local ecology, gaining a deeper understanding of how agriculture shapes our economy, environment, and community.

A huge thank you to AgWest Farm Credit for sponsoring this impactful day and investing in the education of our region’s leaders. We are also grateful to Kiona Vineyards & Winery for hosting and to Pacific Pasta & Grill for providing a delicious meal that kept our class fueled and ready to learn.
