Heads up to parents, grandparents and friends of youth interested in music. During Sacajawea Bluegrass Festival, Saturday, June 13 (3:00-5:30) at Sacajawea State Park, there is an opportunity for kids to be introduced to acoustic stringed instruments. Come play with others in a fun supportive atmosphere. Some or no experience is required, there will be a stage presentation at the end of the class. Our leaders are established teachers in the surrounding area, Shawn Hughes, Sharon Worlund and Kate Hockersmith. Some instruments are available to loan. Kids participating in the youth workshop will need to register with parent/responsible adult on site. Ages 5-17. State park Discover pass, or the day fee of $10 is required.
