A BIG thank you to the City of Parkersburg - Government for presenting CASA with this check outside the Municipal Building today! This will significantly help us in our mission to create a world where every child that has experienced abuse or neglect is given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home. A special thank you to Mayor Tom Joyce, Council President Andrew Borkowski, and Councilor Mike Reynolds for attending the check presentation ceremony today.
Today, the City of Parkersburg was proud to present a $10,000 check to Voices For Children-CASA in support of their vital work advocating for children in our community.
Mayor Tom Joyce, Council President Andrew Borkowski, and Councilor Mike Reynolds joined Margaret Hoschar, Program Director, along with dedicated staff and volunteers, for a check presentation ceremony outside the Municipal Building.
This funding, made possible through opioid settlement resources, will help CASA continue recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer advocates who serve children facing abuse and neglect within the court system. These advocates play a critical role in ensuring each child’s voice is heard during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
The City remains committed to investing in programs that strengthen families, support vulnerable youth, and address the long-term impacts of substance use disorder in our community.
We thank Voices for Children (CASA) for their unwavering dedication and the meaningful difference they make every day.
